Why is the dial pad not active during a call to make digital selections?
If you're on a call and can’t use the dial pad to enter numbers or select menu options, don’t worry—there’s a reason for that.
Right now, Rebtel doesn’t support calls to toll-free numbers or switchboards. These types of calls can confuse the system into thinking the call has ended, which is why the keypad might not work during the call.
Rebtel is built for smooth, direct calls to regular mobile and landline numbers—that’s where it really shines.
Does the person I'm calling need a subscription to receive my call?
Nope! You’re the only one who needs a Rebtel subscription or some calling credit. The person you're calling doesn’t need anything—no account, no app, no extra steps. Just a regular phone to pick up the call.
Does the person I'm calling need to have the app installed?
Not at all! You can call any mobile or landline number, and they’ll receive it like a regular phone call. The Rebtel magic happens on your end—no app needed on theirs.
Can multiple people use the same account?
Rebtel accounts are made for one person only, so sharing with others isn’t supported and goes against our Terms and Conditions.
That said, you can link up to five of your own numbers (like a personal number, a work number, or an international one). Just note that you can only use one number at a time.
Can I use my Rebtel account on more than one device?
Yes, you can! If you switch phones or log in on a different device, your Rebtel account comes with you. Just remember—your account can only be active on one device at a time.
I can't find the dial pad in the app!
It’s right where you need it:
- Open the Rebtel app.
- Tap Home at the bottom.
- At the top, you’ll see two options:
- Pick a contact to call, or
- Tap the dial pad icon (a grid of 9 dots) to type in a number manually.
Enter the number (country code and all), and tap the call button to get started.
Can I share my Rebtel balance or minutes with someone else?
Not through the app at the moment—but we’ve got your back. Just reach out to our support team, and they’ll help you transfer credit manually.
How do I report a problem?

Why Do I Need to Enter My Credit Card for a Free Trial?
We ask for your credit card details to verify your identity and prevent misuse of our free trial. This helps ensure everyone gets a fair chance to try our service.
You won’t be charged during the trial, and your payment info is securely stored and never shared without your consent. You can cancel anytime before the trial ends to avoid any charges.
What is a landline number?
Landline numbers refer to phone numbers connected to a fixed telephone line, also known as a home phone. These phones use cables or wires (like copper or fiber-optic lines) to connect to the telephone network, unlike mobile phones that use wireless signals.
Can I get a detailed Mobile Top Up/Recharge history for my account?
At the moment, we’re unable to generate a Mobile Top Up/Recharge history report for your account. We understand this may be important to you, and we’ve noted your request—we’ll make sure it’s shared with the appropriate team.
In the meantime, we can provide a payment history for your account. This includes:
- All payments you’ve made (credits, subscriptions, top-ups)
- The amounts paid
Please note: We cannot generate a payment history for a specific phone number—only for your overall account.
Why is Puerto Rico not included in the United States plan on Rebtel?
Although Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory, Rebtel treats it as a separate destination for calling purposes due to differences in how local telecom operators handle international versus domestic traffic. This means calls to Puerto Rico are routed differently and may incur different costs compared to calls within the continental United States. As a result, Puerto Rico is not included in Rebtel’s U.S. calling plans and is listed separately to ensure accurate pricing and billing.
How long does the refund take?
Once your refund is processed, it typically takes 2 to 5 business days for the amount to appear in your account. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or card provider.
Can I call without the Rebtel app?
Yes, you can call without the app by using Rebtel’s Local Numbers or Access Numbers:
Local Numbers: Rebtel gives you a unique local number for your contact. Just call that number from your mobile or landline to reach them internationally—no internet or app needed.
Access Numbers: Dial a local Rebtel access number, enter your registered number and PIN, then dial the international number.
Both methods work from any phone, and the person you're calling doesn’t need the app either.
How do I put my call on speakerphone on Rebtel?
You can use your phone’s built-in speaker function during a Rebtel call, just like with regular calls. Once you're on a call, tap the speaker icon on your phone screen to enable speaker mode.
Can you change the phone number for me?
We’re not able to change the phone number for you directly. But you can do it easily in the app:
Open the Rebtel app
Go to Account > My Info
Tap your phone number to update it
Keep in mind, changing your number will require verifying it via SMS.
I want to change my PIN, will it log me out on all of my devices?
Changing your PIN won’t log you out of all your devices, but it’s a good security step if you suspect someone else has access. If you want a fresh login on all devices, you can also choose to log out from all sessions in your account settings.
Can I purchase a physical Rebtel card?
Rebtel doesn’t offer physical calling cards, we’re 100% digital. You can top up, subscribe, or send credit directly through our app or website.
Do you offer business tariffs?
Rebtel is focused on personal and family communication. At the moment, we don’t offer business or corporate plans, but you can still use your account for work-related calls if needed.
Rebtel isn’t available in the App Store/Play Store.
If you're not seeing the Rebtel app in the App Store or Play Store, it might be due to regional restrictions or temporary unavailability. Try this:

Do calls work on airplane mode?
Calls won’t work in airplane mode unless you have Wi-Fi enabled and a strong internet connection. Rebtel needs either Wi-Fi, mobile data, or local access numbers to work, so if airplane mode disables all connections, calling won’t be possible.
How long does it take to get a response after submitting my ticket?
The response time may vary depending on the number of tickets our support team is currently handling. If you already submitted your ticket through our assistance bot, please keep an eye on the email address you provided in the form, as our team will get back to you as soon as possible to help resolve the issue you are experiencing.
How to delete payment history or call history?
For security reasons, we currently don't offer the possibility to delete the account activity (call history/payment history).
At the moment, we only have the option to delete the recently dialed numbers by opening the app, then clicking on the 3 dots on the upper right corner of the number, and choose " remove".
Hopefully, we'll be able to offer more features in the future.

Where do I make calls from?
You can make calls directly from the Rebtel app, no extra devices needed! Here’s how:

You can call both local and international numbers, and Rebtel will connect you at low rates.
If you prefer, you can also use Rebtel’s Call Links feature to call from your computer or share a link for someone to call you directly.
I want to send an internet phone service to any Country
That’s a great idea! 🌎 While Rebtel doesn’t offer internet or mobile data services, you can send mobile top-ups or call directly to the country you like using our app. Just open Rebtel, choose “Send top-up” or “Call”, and select the number you want to send.

What are my registered phone numbers on my account?
For security reasons, we can’t show your registered numbers directly. But you can easily check them in the app:
Open the Rebtel app
Go to Account > My Info
Your registered phone numbers will be listed there
If you need to update or add a number, you can do it from the same screen — just remember that any change requires SMS verification.
I can not receive a message on my phone
If you’re not receiving messages, please check the following:
Signal & network: Make sure your phone has a stable mobile network connection.
SMS settings: Check that your messaging app isn’t blocking incoming messages.
Phone number: Confirm that the number registered in your Rebtel account is correct.
Account status: Pending payments or account issues can sometimes affect SMS verification.

I bought Airtime
Great! 🎉 Your airtime should be added to the recipient’s number shortly.
If you don’t see it immediately, please check:
Phone number: Make sure the airtime was sent to the correct number.
Network status: Sometimes top-ups take a few minutes to process, depending on the mobile operator.
Transaction history: You can verify the payment in the Rebtel app > History.
If it still hasn’t arrived after a short wait, contact support so we can help resolve it quickly.
Do you have my credit card on file?
For security reasons, we don’t store your full credit card details. However, you can check the payment methods saved to your account in the app:
Open the Rebtel app
Go to Account > Payment Methods
You’ll see any saved cards or payment options linked to your account
If you want to add or remove a card, you can do it from the same screen all securely verified via the app.
How do I make a call on my laptop?
Unfortunately, the Rebtel application for PC has been discontinued. You can still make calls using our app on Android or iPhone, or via our website at Rebtel.com
This change was made because the PC app could not support the call quality we aim for, and the demand for it was low. Your interest has been noted and shared with the relevant team
I can’t see send money
The Send Money feature is no longer available in Rebtel. You won’t see it in the app because the service was discontinued as of March 15, 2025.
But don’t worry! You can still send mobile top-ups or make calls to anyone—no “Send Money” option needed. Just make sure you have enough credit or an active subscription, and you’re good to go!
I need my refund

I use my card for payment
Yes, if you use your card to make a payment, Rebtel securely saves your card details for future transactions.
You can manage or remove your saved card anytime by going to:

Delete payment history
Unfortunately, payment history can’t be deleted from your Rebtel account for security and record purposes. However, you can:
View all past transactions in the “Payment History” section of the app.
Contact Rebtel Support if you notice any incorrect or duplicate charges — they can review and assist you.
I am unable to select a country.
If you can’t select a country, try the following steps:
Update the Rebtel app to the latest version.
Check your internet connection; a weak connection may prevent the list from loading.

Not being able to change my renewal date
The renewal date is automatically set based on your subscription start date and can’t be changed. If you want a new renewal date, you can cancel your current plan and subscribe again on your preferred date.
Why can’t I use my welcome offer subscription?
If you can’t use your Welcome Offer subscription, please check the following:
Active Account: Make sure your Rebtel account is active and you’re logged in with the same number you used to subscribe.
Country Coverage: The Welcome Offer is available only for specific countries. Check if your call destination is included.
Plan Expiry: The Welcome Offer is valid for 7 days after activation. If it has expired, you’ll need to subscribe to a regular plan.
Internet Connection: Ensure you have a stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data).

If you need multi-party calling, you might consider a conference-call app alongside Rebtel for the best experience.
Can you please use pounds?
Absolutely! If you’d like to pay in pounds, just make sure your payment method supports GBP.
When you top up or pay for a subscription in the Rebtel app, it should automatically use your preferred currency if your account is set to a region that uses pounds.
If it doesn’t show pounds at checkout, your card might automatically convert from your local currency.
Once the payment goes through, your credit will be ready to use for calls or top-ups instantly!
